Whilst still slightly damp, I decorated my piece with slips which I prepared myself. 
I used my hands and a thick brush to apply them. 
For each slip colour, I measured 50/ 50 ball/ china clay, then added around 5% oxide/ glaze stain before adding the water and mixing/ sieving.

The work will turn a fiery orange colour, so I felt blue, black, white and lime green would compliment it.
