Out of the kiln today - my red earthenware head with blue, white and black slip decoration.

I am pretty happy with the outcome, as it was quite a daring move for me to add colour to my piece, and I think the choice of colours work well with the orangey terracotta of the clay. The way that I have applied the slip using mainly my hands and mono-printing technique, gives the piece energy and depth.
